Yes, dental crowns can restore or replace any teeth
Dr. Hoffmann uses iTero 3D scanner and Romexis® Smile Design software to plan and design every treatment with dental crowns. In addition, our dental technicians use CAD/CAM software to fabricate tooth crowns, based on the digital design or teeth impressions.
To avoid pain and discomfort during the tooth-shaving process for crowns the dentist will apply local anesthesia. Some minor pain may appear later, however, this can be managed with medication.
In case you need implant-supported crowns or bridges, an anesthesiologist will provide IV sedation during the implant surgery, so you won't feel any pain.
You will need to make a single trip to Molar city to get your dental crowns (as long as you don't need teeth implants). The whole treatment might take 2 or 3 appointments to be done.
To put it simply, porcelain crowns are better in aesthetics, and zirconia crowns in overall resistance. Dr. Hoffmann suggests to use porcelain crowns for the front teeth, and zirconia crowns for the back teeth.
